German Courses
Our courses focus on enabling you to communicate in every-day situations in German. At the same time, you develop the four important language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing, thus ensuring a solid basis for further learning and growing proficiency.
Our semi-intensive courses, based on the method of "blended learning", allow you to progress at a speed you feel comfortable with, while also giving you flexibility timewise.
Three times a week you dedicate about 1½ to 2 hours to learning German
Beginners, level A1 (real beginners!) starting October 29th, 2010
- once a week you attend a classroom lesson, following a structured course, with emphasis on speaking.
Friday 9 - 10.30 am - once a week you come to the classroom and individually work with an interactive computer program, either online or from a DVD. I'm there to give you support and help you plan the work you want to do at home.
Tuesday 11 am - 1 pm or Thursday 9 - 11 am - once a week (or more….) you revise and continue your e-learning at home.
Costs: CHF 85.- per week, plus expenses for the learning media
Sign up for 10 continuing weeks.
Please pay immediately after signing up, by bank transfer, post or cash.
If possible, please bring your own computer.
All other levels: A2, B1, B2 starting August 31st, or individually
- once a week you come to the classroom for speaking practice in a small group.

Conversation
- you join a regular Conversation class (level B1/B2 and up, you should be able to understand the gist of German text you read, and be able to speak about it). Meet once a week and discuss various topics, read, occasionally write short texts. The students participate in preparing topics.
Tuesday 1 - 2.30 pm, starting September 7th
Costs: CHF 35.- per week
Sign up for 10 continuing weeks. Please pay immediately after signing up, by bank transfer, post or cash.
- Tandem: private German-English conversation with a German speaking person (see Tandem)
Signing up for courses is possible at the ICS Neighbourhood Information Morning on September 1st, 2010 or on your first day of the course. You will then receive an invoice and details of payment.
